Engineering Services
BIZU Space specializes in services for the launch industry, including systems and aerospace engineering, launch operations planning, and organization. Our expertise extends to suborbital and orbital flight simulations, flight and ground safety analysis, and securing launch authorization under FAA Part 450 and AEB REB 02.
Sounding Rockets
We developed sounding rockets as testbeds for propulsion and onboard systems. The Beija-Flor-1 (BF-1) was our first rocket with solid propulsion, telemetry, and parachute recovery. It was later upgraded to BF-1E with our Bizu Composite Propellant (BCP).
Manufacturing and Project Support
At BIZU Space, we provide advanced metal 3D printing for complex structures like rocket engines, pumps, turbines, and impellers, along with full design and development support.
BCP
The Bizu Composite Propellant (BCP) is a solid propellant entirely developed using locally sourced materials from Brazil. This project was initiated to create an ITAR free solid propellant independent of foreign suppliers, ensuring high availability and reduced costs.
Microlauncher MLBR
The MLBR program, funded by FINEP, focuses on the development of the MLBR Microlauncher. This launch vehicle is a collaborative effort among seven companies, with CENIC serving as the main coordinator. BIZU Space plays a crucial role in this initiative, contributing expertise in systems and aerospace engineering, propellant development, and launch operations.
Arion
The Arion is a liquid rocket engine developed by BIZU SPACE, utilizing High Test Peroxide (HTP) and kerosene (Jet-A) as propellants. It is specifically designed for the upper stage of the MLBR launch vehicle, delivering a thrust range between 3-5 kN.
Arion's development is focused on optimizing upper-stage performance in launch vehicles, enhancing both payload capacity and orbital insertion precision. The MLBR will be the first vehicle to integrate this engine.
To support the engine's development, we are constructing the T8 Test Facility, purpose-built for rigorous qualification tests on injectors, ignitors, pressurization systems, and combustion chambers.
